Peer Review Process

About Peer-Review process

IJRPST aims at rapid publication of high quality research while maintaining rigorous but sympathetic peer review process. Manuscripts (other than those that are of insufficient quality or unlikely to be competitive enough for publication) will be peer-reviewed by two or more experts in the fields, and a decision is returned to the authors within weeks. If due to special circumstance, the review process takes more time, authors will be informed by email. Manuscripts with significant results will be reviewed and published at the highest priority and speed. Possible decisions on a manuscript are:

  • Accepted as it is
  • Accepted after minor revision
  • Accepted after major revision
  • Rejected

If minor revision is required, authors should return a revised version as soon as possible within one week. If major revision is required, authors should return a revised version within two to three weeks.

Confidentiality is highly maintained by IJRPST Editors about the submitted manuscript details and do not comment out to any other organizations when the manuscript is under the process of review or if it is rejected. Journal editors may speak out on the published articles but their comments are restricted to the content and the evaluation process.

Every submitted article will be independently reviewed by two peer reviewers. The review process applies Double Blind method. The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation.  After being reviewed, there will be four kinds of editor decision based on reviewers’ recommendation:

Accept Submission: The submission will be accepted without revisions.
Revisions Required: The submission will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
Resubmit for Review: The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. It will require a second round of review, however.
Decline Submission: The submission will not be published in the journal.

Paper Review Process and Time Frame

The general review process and duration are shown below

4 days : initial screening completed by administrator (first pass)
4 days: EIC screens and assigns the paper to proper editor (second pass)
6 days : Editor assigns paper to reviewers
14 days: Review work completed by adequate number of reviewers (the last reviewer controls this duration)
7 days: Editor makes recommendation
7 days: EIC makes decision

The above process takes about 35 days in total. This happens to about 70% papers going through the review process.
